£3200 procedure package price per eye, including monofocal lens.
YAG laser:
£500 per eye, procedure cost only, including hospital and surgeon fee
Retinal surgery is not performed at Spire Cardiff Hospital. For indication of Mr Gorman’s private retinal surgery fees: Vitrectomy (for macular hole, epiretinal membrane, diabetic surgery), or forms of retinal laser, please contact Alison, Mr Gorman’s Secretary directly.

Should further tests, investigations or management be required, Mr Gorman will discuss this with the patient and an indication of cost will be provided as appropriate.
How to Pay:
Payment for the consultation should be made at the Reception Desk by cheque or bank/credit card. Cash is not accepted. Please obtain a receipt of payment. Cheques should be made payable to: Cardiff Eyes Ltd. If a cheque has to be posted, please mark the envelope PRIVATE & CONFIDENTIAL and address the envelope to Mr C Gorman at the Spire Cardiff Hospital address.
PROCEDURE COSTS
Self-Pay Patients
Mr Gorman’s Secretary can provide indication of prices for procedures including cataract surgery and YAG laser performed at Spire Cardiff Hospital. Spire will then provide detailed individual costings for cataract surgery (once the lens type has been agreed and anaesthetic arrangements are agreed). Spire Hospital offer a self-pay inclusive care package for the cataract surgery (which includes hospital costs and monofocal lens, surgeon fee and anaesthetic fee, plus follow-up consultations for the cataract on a clinical need basis). Spire Hospital also offers a finance package if needed. Payments for surgical procedures performed at Spire Hospital will be invoiced by Spire directly. The surgical costs below are to be given as a rough indicator guide only:
Insured Patients:
Mr Gorman works with many of the major UK health insurance companies including: BUPA, AXA, WPA and Vitality.
Cataract Surgery, insured patients: BUPA and AXA have agreed Cataract Pathway packages with Mr Gorman and Spire Cardiff Hospital. The insured cataract package normally covers mono-focal lenses only, hence, there may be an additional fee for multifocal, Vivity or Toric lenses.
