It is vitally important that the advice and any treatment that you will receive as a patient is both right for your eye condition, but also for you, as an individual.
Initial consultation
The first step of your eye journey with Mr Gorman will be a detailed discussion to explore your symptoms and how they affect you. Although patients often arrive to clinic with a diagnosis, this still awaits confirmation. Thorough history taking will be followed by thorough examination of the eye. At this stage, for the majority of eye conditions to an experienced clinician as Mr Gorman, the diagnosis is plain. Occasionally Mr Gorman will need to arrange further investigations to explore the possible diagnoses. Only then will the final diagnosis will be confirmed.

Management
Once the clinical management plan has been agreed with you, Mr Gorman’s experienced Secretary will guide you and if relevant, any supporting family or carers, through the further patient journey. We are mindful that having an operation is a stressful time for both the patient and often the family and we try to make the journey as stress-free as possible. Post op and continuing service
Your care with Mr Gorman does not end with the operation. Mr Gorman will always offer a face to face consultation following any first invasive surgical procedure.
