Appointed Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon in 2000, Mr Gorman’s NHS sessions are undertaken at the University Hospital of Wales and his private clinics at Spire Cardiff Hospital.

In addition to general ophthalmology and high volume cataract surgery, Mr Gorman’s specialist interests are the surgical treatment of vitreoretinal disorders and diabetic eye disease.
Mr Gorman qualified from Leeds University Medical School with Honours in 1998. His further training in Ophthalmology was in Leeds, Nottingham and South Africa. He also completed advanced subspeciality training with a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery.
Mr Gorman is fully registered with the General Medical Council and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Additionally he is a Member of the British Medical Association, British and Irish Association of Vitreoretinal Surgeons (BEAVRS), and the European Society of Vitreoretinal Surgeons (EVRS).
Mr Gorman is a surgical teacher and lectures to Ophthalmic Trainees, General Practitioners, Optometrists and Nurses.
